This has come up a few times on the list, I am paraphrasing from memory. You'll get more help and guidance for cake 1.1 , your advised to use cake 1.1 for now unless you really need to make use of the new features of 1.2
If you use cake 1.2 you'll need to make a few changes as it evolves since it is not (fully) finished yet.
