Thanks for responding guys. I tried a non-php application (Drupal). It
was slow too. But I thought that Drupal might had a lot of stuff going
on there. My own app is very simple, just form submission, using
CakePHP Form->submit. So I suspect WAMP setup as well. But I don't
know where to look into to find the problem. I will appreciate some
suggestions and information.

I also tried to install a virtual machine. It was not successful.
Either I did not download the right stuff or the instruction was not
clear.
