Back in the day I looked at Symfony before CakePHP. I watched a video of a simple app being coded in Symfony.
I didn't write any code after the video. Instead, I then looked at CakePHP. No Video. So I just started trying it out. I had a basic scaffolded app working in the time it took to watch the Symfony video. I've been using Cake since then and have no regrets.
