It has been said on earlier "official" alpha releases that while the API might still change and new features might still be added, what is there is deemed to be pretty stable.
So, perhaps it is not such a bad idea to release what is available on the 1.2 Docs using the same understanding. Call it alpha, say it can/ is changing. But you will surely get input on mistakes in the docs and things you can do better. Then, when 1.2 really goes beta/stable, your docs will match. If you hold the docs close to your chest until the very last minute when 1.2 goes final, you will release alpha level docs for a "final" product. Perhaps it might be better to let the docs soak in the public as alpha, solicit the bugs/feedback, and keep the docs in synch with the status of the code. I agree it wouldn't have made sense to do this earlier, but now - how much is 1.2 really changing? Is it still really worth not releasing the docs? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
