Grant, thank you for the reply! I don't think I would have figured that out on my own. I had presumed that in an MVC architecture, *all* business logic went into the controller. I'm sure it could be argued whether this is model behavior or business logic, but that's besides the point here. So, thank you very much for that (as well as the tip on requestAction and how it can be slow).
Would you (or anyone else) have any suggestions on "best practice" rules of thumb that I can read about (I know about the bakery), or do things like this only come with experience?
