As the person who wrote the tutorial you linked to above, I can tell you that all I had to do was follow the instructions as I had put them in my blog. You shouldn't have to do anything to the library itself to make it work. I haven't used that library you mentioned before, but perhaps the author can help you understand where you are going wrong? It's probably something really simple. If you develop with Firefox, I highly recommend installing the Firebug plugin.
