Doesn't need to be so complicated. You could just use Cake's new console to make a script to export the HEAD revision to Cake's tmp directory, rsync to the target server (using '-avz' as options) and you're done. Then you could just add bells and whistles, like specifying which svn revision you want to deploy, but that's just small stuff.
