One thing I do that helps me keep up to date on any changes that happen within the /app folder, is add the following feed to my RSS reader:
https://trac.cakephp.org/log/branches/1.2.x.x/app?limit=100&mode=stop_on_copy&format=rss It shows any changes that are found on this page: https://trac.cakephp.org/log/branches/1.2.x.x/app Hope this helps!
