Hi folks,

I have been scouring google and this email list for any help with this, but
no joy after several hours. Think I'm going to have to cry for help. Here
goes:

I have PhpGacl successfully installed in my application (ie i can go to
/phpgacl/ and access the admin control panel). From there I can add users
and groups and so forth.

The problem I am having, is trying to access the PhpGacl functionality
from my code. I have a login controller here:

http://localhost:800/cms/login/verify/

In the login controller, I am specifying:

var $components = array('PhpGacl');

Then in the verify function I am trying to connect with the component
methods like this:

 function verify ()
    {
        $this->$PhpGacl->checkAcl($aroSection, $aroValue, $acoSection,
$acoValue, $axoSection, $axoValue);
    }

But I get this error in my browser:

*
>
> Notice: Undefined variable: PhpGacl in
> C:\xampp\htdocs\cms\app\controllers\login_controller.php on line 22
>
> Fatal error: Cannot access empty property in
> C:\xampp\htdocs\cms\app\controllers\login_controller.php on line 22

*
**
I have checked Nate's excellent cheat sheet and am failry sure my naming
conventions are correct, ie:

component file = php_gacl.php (and held in /controllers/components)

Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong here? I'm kinda stuck,

dan :-)
