At the risk of wasting people's time with more trivia, I thought some may be interested in the following:
On ohloh.net I gathered the following stats on sizes of various framework projects by lines of code: cakePHP: 64,785 Ruby on Rails: 104,271 Zend Framework: 583,128 Symfony: 662,682 I don't know how they are computing this, but it is kind of funny to see that some other frameworks take 10x the amount of code to do what the cake team has basically done. I know each framework has to be judged on its own merits, and I mean no criticism by this... but 10x !!, heh, heh...it is a little amusing, you have to admit :-) For comparison: CMS ------- Drupal (Core): 24,996 Joomla: 162,997 Stores: ------------: Zen Cart: 93,787 oscommerce: 133,671 Forums: ------------- punBB: 32,296 phpBB: 194,785 CRM -------- SugarCRM: 108,917 CiviCRM: 554,167 Other --------- phpMyAdmin: 142,162 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
