yep, I'd go with cake as well.... you may be getting some biased
opinions from the cake group though!

Once you know cake, you can build pretty much anything you need after
that.

There is also a Drupal / Cake integration called Drake:
http://dev.sypad.com/projects/drake/ so you could potentially use a
combo of them both.
