There are ways of saying stuff. He could have simply said "hey, just noticed the map function doesn't work .. just thought I'd let you know", and nobody would have flamed (ok, it was just me). He made it sound like he was trying to sell an awesome product and they turned it down because a "map" function doesn't work on the website, and he was disappointed about it.
