Hi Francky,
Yes I'm using the ~ type as it is a temp url.. is that a problem with
cake applications?
The default .htaccess file that comes with cake isnt working.. it
gives me a 404 error, hence the need to play around with the .htaccess
file

Or alternatively is there a way I can avoid using ~ in the url and try
something like http://72.167.47.152/hoteljob/
 or http://hoteljob.72.167.47.152/
The server is a Fedora Core with Apache 1.3, PHP 5.2, and it has Web
Host Manager and Cpanel running on it.. I have a feeling WHM tweaks
the htaccess in its own way or something?

Thanks in Advance.
