A follow up for others in this situation: I contacted my helpful
webhost. He can run 'bake' and 'acl.php' when logged in as root, but
my 'jailed' SSH command line for my site will not allow my user 'out'
to access mysql. My webhost says there is no fix for this. I don't
know how to recompile acl.php or bake.php to include MySQL support?
Perhaps this has been done in the beta version of CakePHP 1.2?
