The update and delete issue has been fixed in the latest SVN (along with a sequences fix too),
I only noticed the integer-as-string thing you mentioned late in the day yesterday, I don't know whether this has had a Ticket or fix yet (my SVN copy is a few days old). I should have some time to investigate today and create a ticket for the devs if theres not one already there.
