I've been bitten by this myself.

Question to the devs:

Would it be a good idea to move the cache (app/tmp) directory out of
the application directory?

I realise you can have multiple applications under one install so
perhaps there should be a cache/app/... directory in the root of the
cake install or the ability to specify the location of your cache
directory on an app-by-app basis?
