If you check the page 'CakePHP Tickets: How To Help', there is a link
to a query on Trac for tickets related to the official web sites
(bakery included). You will notice a number of outstanding tickets
regarding issues with the Bakery.

I just recently started working with folks from the CakePHP team to
throw my hat in the ring and help with resolving these bakery tickets,
so that Mariano and everyone else can concentrate their highly sought
after skills on priorities like the core code, etc.

I don't have an ETA, but please check that page and if you find a new
problem that isn't already mentioned in a ticket, submit a new ticket
according to the guidelines.

Regards,
Tim MacAleese (Sliv)
