Hello, world! I've decided it's time to try to learn CakePHP. I played around with CodeIgnitor, but every time I mentioned it, people just brought up Cake, so I decided to make my way over to the standard(or maybe it was just my circle of friends?).
The first project that I decided to tackle was a heavily documented tutorial, so I decided to take a look at the 15min. Blog Tutorial, and of course I have some questions... So far I've completed all the steps to the first part of Section 8. The tutorial suggests that I go to www.example.com/posts/index and see some sort of output. Unfortunately, whenever I go there, all I see is the index.php in the root. I tried navigating to the more specific part of the site www.example.com/app/views/posts/index and received the same thing. What am I doing wrong? I feel as if I didn't do the mod_rewrite correctly, but would love some information on how to do this correctly as I wasn't sure how to correctly modify this or where to go. I contacted my hosting company and they informed me that what I wanted was already set as the default, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
