Yeah, I don't mind changing the value, however I prefer keeping date/ time as int(11) in unixtime. I'll have to keep reading to see if this is still possible or not.
Also I added this line to my model and I no longer have the PK problem on view: var $primaryKey = "blog_posts_id"; I've found however one other problem, where I think CakePHP assumes my PK field is auto increment where that is not the case. Is it possible to have it create a 12 digit random INT and check if it's unique or not before using it as the PK?
