Sorry, to clarify on your last bit: it's only this one controller. Any action.
I assume, given that the "spooky" part was my own dope-headeness, that
this is also due to some other dumb thing i've overlooked. It
certainly doesn't seem as bizarre as I'd first thought. Just really
frustrating.
