I've recently been brought in on a project which has been developed, let's say, by evolution rather than intelligent design. So, it works, but in terms of organisation its a nightmare.
I've now been asked to produce a plan for adding several major new features. Obviously, my temptation is to say 'rewrite the whole thing in Cake', but I'm aware of the dangers. Therefore, I am considering trying to write the new features in Cake while leaving the old stuff alone for now. Does anybody have experience of doing this sort of thing? Any recommendations or ideas on running Cake alongside non-Cake?
