As far as i like the EmailComponent - it's not suitable for mass-mailing (we're talking about 10 000s of emails) and wasn't designed to be.Cake is great to build a fronted, prepare the data etc. You can use SwiftMailer - it's a decent library that has _many_ options for mass mailing - using it with cake is... a piece of cake ;)
