Still puts quotes around CURDATE.
$where['AND']['DATE(Table.datefield)'] = '<= -!CURDATE()';
$where['AND']['DATE(Table.datefield) <='] = '-!CURDATE()';
$where['AND']['DATE(Table.datefield) <= -!'] = 'CURDATE()';
All result in variations of wrongly interpreted SQL conditions.
