Hi, i'm relatively new to CakePHP and MVC. I've previously written my own frameworks and wanted to get a better understanding of MVC.
So here's my question and a simple example: Can the Controller pass a reference of itself to the Model? I find myself passing static variables to the model through set() whereas previously I would pass objects, coding to an interface. I use type hinting to ensure the object recieved is as expected. A better solution for me would be to pass the Controller as a reference to the model and call functions on the app_controller such as getAction() Does that make sense? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CakePHP" group.
