Hello people.

I am creating a helper (probably an asset) for compressing files and unify
javascript and CSS, as is done in PHP Speedy (
http://aciddrop.com/php-speedy/). All this, of course, to further enhance
the performance of applications made with CakePHP.

In this part of compressing these files can I do in two ways:
1. When I render the page already unifies and compress the files. Creating
just a call on the page with a URL: /js/cache/md5(names of the files).
2. In rendering of the page only unifies the names of files, for example:
/js/cache/file1|file2|path/file3. And then an Asset is responsible for unify
and compress the files.

Then ... Which of these two ways would be the best?
Do you have any ideas?

Best Regards,
