Hi everybody,

In my local dev enviroment I recently added multilanguage support and
translated some po-files. Just to have a backup of them I uploaded
them to the live website's locale directory. I didn't change any other
file on the server. Now I got an email from the mail system of my
website, that notifies me of new posts in the forum. There is some
static content in the email, that is localizable. Now this content was
in english (normally it's in german). So the visitor of the website
must have seen the whole site in english.

Long story short. How could this happen? Does cakephp have an
automatic language detection? Does it notice the browser language and
then loads the related po-file? Because i didn't set the default
language or anything else. And when I visit the website it's still in
german, also the notification mails.

Actually an automatic language detection would be quite useful for my
future plans, but I haven't found anything about it.

thanks for any help

Donnerbeil
