mmm is it me being too demanding or is it not a little weird that you
can not expect your models to behave the same when they are called
through associations ?

How does the Translate Behavior behaves for instance ? (this is not
the one I'm using but might be in the near future) . Don't I get
translations through associations ?

Just asking though.
