I don't want to start a flame war here, but that is _so_ not true. About mootools, at least (prototype does seem a bit verbose, but I don't use it much). Mootools code is succint, elegant and with a high power-to-LOC ratio. I know JQuery is "minimalist", but mootools is a far cry from verbose.
