I'm still a beginner in Cake, but I think you don't need to rely in FormHelper to make your form pages. Knowing the structure of the generated code, maybe you must type your desired html code directly into your views for more customization. Another way, you could create your own helper that extends the original FormHelper and generate more apropriated html code for your needs.
