thanks for the answers but the don't really cover my problem.
Maybe my explanation was a bit blurry...
Let's say I have a link like this:
$html->link(__('edit data', true), array(...))
This works fine with the translations for 'edit data' in the po-files.
But in my application I have to give the users the ability to edit these
translations without forcing them to fumble around with the po-files.
So it's not really about translating the data in my models, that's why
the translate behaviour doesn't seem to fit.
Or am I missing something?
