Hi,

as far as I can see cake uses ISO 639-2 in i18n/l10n for the
abbreviation of the language names.
http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php

For a few languages there are two codes, "B" (bibliographic) or "T"
(terminology). (Whatever that may mean...)

For example:
German has
ger (B)
deu (T)

French has
fre (B)
fra (T)

Why does cake use "deu" for German, but "fre" for French?
Seems a bit illogical to me...

Regards
Guenther
