I just realized (while doing something else) what the problem was and I'm hoping someone can now help me understand why. The problem is that my linking table had a separate id field (DDL: id, nav_menu_id, nav_menu_item_id). I was using scaffolding to populate the linking table by accessing /nav_menus/edit/[some_menu_id] and selecting the menu items that I wanted to associate with the menu. My question is this: SHOULD the scaffolding recognize the additional primary key field and populate it with a GUID (it's a char(36) field) or is Cake's scaffolding not "smart" enough to do that? Just trying to get my head around what's possible and what's not to know whether I'm still doing something wrong. Thanks again. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CakePHP" group.
