Hi, It's possible to expose a web service that receives some data on a Cake shell? I have a cake shell that monitors a log and reads from it some data and compares it with another data in a database to do some stuff. The problem is that if the data in the database get's updated, the only way to get it into the cake shell without querying the database each time the shell reads something from the log file is by restarting the cake shell. I was thinking that I could expose a web service method on the cake shell that receives the new data it needs to compare, so it could be invoked from the cake web application that saves the data into the database. Is this possible ? or anyone else has another solution that avoids querying the database on each read from the log ?
