Does the sendFrom header happen to contain "[email protected]"? I ask because gMail doesn't display mails from myself to, for instance, this group. It's the source of some n00b frustration--myself included--in that one's first message (likely written in a cold sweat) doesn't appear to make it up.
Anyway, I'm wondering if google's just trying to be "efficient". Have a look at your gApps POP/IMAP settings.
