I think the above stats should be sufficient. As an anecdotal supplement - the top sites built with cake are in a class larger and more complex than most, if not all, of us would ever get the opportunity to develop in our lifetime.
You don't have to worry about building a site with cake. You should only be so lucky as to bump up against cake's limitations.
