What has happened is I built the site on my local WAMP server setup, it runs perfect. then now I want to put it online. I copied the local database, dropped it into the live database (successfully), uploaded all the files and when ever I surf to a page requiring access I get the login in screen....all good. After logging in I get the ERROR 1104.

I think it's safe to assume that the problem lies with your app and not the JOIN limitation, so I'd look at that before thinking about switching providers.
