Hi all Thanks for all the replies! This alone convinces me that there's such a community around cakePHP that it's worth while.
A couple of notes on some of your points: I think it's very important for cakePHP to be documented in such a way that you will be able to use it without understanding the source code. If you need that it's no longer "rapid". It should be a vehicle that you can drive without a detailed knowlegde on engines and gears. Same as PHP itself – I've been programming it for years, but I really have no clue about the source code of that. What I remember from learning that (and still appreciate) is that the function reference is so consise. Thanks for the links, I'm always looking out for the more in depth tutorials. If you're a developer, choosing cakePHP or CodeIgniter or another framework as your weapon of choice is something that you're very willing to spend hours and hours learning. It's like a marriage – you don't care that you can create a blog system in 20 mins, you want to really understand the structure and the syntax. (above the source code...) And, Well, Now that I have a lot of skilled users attention, here's the thread of my HABTM trouble: http://groups.google.com/group/cake-php/browse_thread/thread/490cf9f607aad5d0 shoot! :-) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CakePHP" group.
