Ahhhhh. I had tried using __d(), but didn't properly understand the relationship between the domain and the name of the po file. The difference, as they say, makes all the difference. Now that I understand how domains are translated it looks like things might be working (I've only tried a trivial case so far, so I hate to get to cocky). Dardo and Miles...thanks.
