Personally, I would wonder why you have an instance of another
controller inside your active one. If this is custom functionality you
need in more than one controller then it should either be moved to a
component (for later re-use), or into AppController (if specific to
this application only). I wouldn't even consider requestAction for
something like this, though it would have the desired effect.
