MiMedia isn't finished (and may as it turns out, disappear) - there
are some notes in the doc blocks to this effect.
You should find that the behaviors and code in the base branch (which
is where everything else came from) is stable, but I'd recommend using
for example Meio upload - if you're just looking for uploading
capabilities (I mention this not because I've used it - it has the
same root as my own upload behaviors, and seems popular) or
davidpersson's media plugin - which is much more powerful (and is what
I'm planning on using, after tweaks, in the future).
