i actually use a passive captcha behaviour i once wrote + a helper that inserts the hidden inputs into the form
not that hard to do actually the behaviour just needs to validate the post and even more importantly: even if the captcha fields are missing so you can't temper with the form just use some hashed and salted (!) timestamp, pass the original, too and compare them (+ must be in the future) a bot a) needs less than 1 second to post the form b) would fill out additional hidden fields supposed to be left blank for higher security you could even randomize parts of the content or save the used ones to prevent them of being used again or whatever there are a lot of things you could add to make it really hard for a spammer to enter spam - and impossible for normal bot attacks (they would have to be altered to fit that specific form which is usually way too expensive and time consuming) i personally hate a) active captchas (hard to read, etc) b) session based captchas - two or more tabs and you most certainly smash your keyboard after a while! no javascript no unfriendly stuff no worries :) and for sites that can be found via google etc and have public forms passive captchas are a great help to prevent your forms to be bot- posted (which otherwise would sooner or later happen) On 11 Dez., 16:14, d1ve blu3 <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello,,, > > Does anyone have reference how to implement captcha with cake php? > With jquery if possible,, > > thanks before > -- > This transmission may contain confidential or privileged material.
