i have a cache engine set up but i'm still working out the filename format. I was thinking something like:
microtime() - md5($userId) - $datatype is there a significant performance issue with longer filenames? these would be around 35 chars. i was hoping to keep the microtime as-is to facilitate a garbage collector chron job. any thoughts?
