Hello, I am new to Cake and this forum and having a lot of trouble in general but here is a specific issue I just cannot get past. I am trying to implement ACL on my site using the instructions at:
http://book.cakephp.org/view/467/Defining-Permissions-Cake-s-Database-ACL I cannot do "$ cake schema run create DbAcl" because it wont even recognize cake. I navigate to the console folder in the cake directory and can verify that cake is indeed in that directory. I cannot run cake from this directory though. There is a lot of discussion about "setting the path" to cake so that you can run cake from anywhere and make it work. Unfortunately I cannot find a good explanation of what "setting THE path" even means much less specific instructions on how to do it that do not leave out important details.
