As John advises, conform to Cake's naming conventions and the problem
should sort itself out.

If you were confirming your form should be:

echo $form->create("Dealer");
  echo $form->input("Dealer.name");
  echo $form->input("Dealer.address");
  echo $form->input("Dealer.phone");
echo $form->end("submit");

Which will create the $this->data array in the controller that the
model needs to be able to save correctly.
