Never mind, I found out the problem. It was in the view.
echo $this->Form-
>input('KsfDimensionsPortfolioEntry.ksf_dimension_id',array('type'=>'select
','multiple'=>'checkbox','label'=>'KSF dimensions','selected'=>
$selectedDimensions));
Should read:
echo $this->Form-
>input('KsfDimension',array('type'=>'select','multiple'=>'checkbox','label'=>'KSF
dimensions','selected'=>$selectedDimensions));
