Apologies...I wasn't thinking straight. Try this:
$retrieveemail = $this->Retrieveemail->find('first');
$email_address = $retrieveemail['Retrieveemail']['emailid'] ;
$email_password = $retrieveemail['Retrieveemail']['password'] ;
$this->set('variable', $variable) is only available outside of the controller.
