I suggest use String::insert() instead of str_replace or sprintf as there can be need in more then one param and different languages may have different positions of same params. Wrap code in own function defined in boostrap and use it everywhere instead of __(). Plus you can extend this own function to handle plurals and strings domains in common way with one type of call.
