Hello, I'm in the process of evaluating several PHP frameworks to start developing a new web application. One of the better candidates is of course CakePHP. What i'm wondering (and can't find the answer in Google) is if it can be used in cheaper shared hosting, because they don't have command line access.
I'm telling (for example) about generating .po files, which documentation says "all you need to do is run the i18n console task". Does CakePHP have shortcuts for hostings without command line access? Another alternative would be to develop in a local environment (with command line) and then uploading it to the CLI-less hosting. Is that feasible, or am I going to need the console once it's up?
