I have a mystery on my hands and I'm completely stumped. I'm really
hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

In my AppController class, I have a check in beforeFilter that if
fails calls flash() to display a message for 3 seconds and return the
user to another page. It works well for all controllers in my
application except one!

I can't figure it out, but in one action method of one of my
controllers (named Menus), the flash function is called, the message
is displayed, but the contents of the page are displayed as well. So
it seems it's allowing the execution to continue and the action method
is actually executed. It's driving me crazy! For some reason both
the flash.ctp and menus view are being rendered.

Is there something obvious that could cause this behavior? My
controllers aren't complicated. And the process works fine for another
action method in the same controller. I'm very confused at this
point, so any help would be appreciated!
