At this point in the development of this app, I'm not sure yet. At this moment, it seems likely that all of the Pages controller's views will want to be separate views for each localization, with the exception of the admin home view. Given this, I think I will just make the admin home view a special case. But irrespective of what I'm doing in this particular app, as a CakePHP newcomer, I would still like to understand why it appears that CakePHP does not give the beforeRender() method access to the name of the view that is about to be rendered. That would seem to be one of the most useful pieces of information one might want to use in a beforeRender() method, so it surprises me that it is not available there.
